It isn’t the most sophisticated small SUV going and its interior feels rather cheap in places, but the Suzuki SX-4 S-Cross is still decent enough to drive and spacious enough for most families. It’s great value, too, with lots of low-mileage examples going very cheaply, and it comes with plenty of equipment. What’s more, Suzuki has a great reputation for reliability, so the SX-4 S-Cross should be dependable.
Two trim levels will be offered in Britain. Both will feature leather seats as standard, alongside keyless entry and a starter button, LED daytime running lights, and an infotainment system fitted with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The as yet unnamed range topping model will built on this with heated leather seats and a suite of driver assists, including a forward collision warning system, blind spot assist, and a 360-degree camera setup linked to the infotainment display. Prices will be comfirmed closer to the car's UK launch.
But Krause himself actually resigned last month, Jalopnik now reports.
When he visited the company's finance department, he was shocked to discover old-school bookkeepers tracking piles and piles of bills divided into categories: A, B, C and D. The mostly older men couldn't keep up with the bills and were simply estimating how many millions of dollars were represented per foot of paper.
To understand the significance of the Cavalier Mk3, we need to go back to 1981, when the Mk2 appeared. The Sierra, which arrived a year later in 1982, failed to match the Mk2’s sales throughout its life but, in 1987, the last year of Cavalier Mk2 production, Uncle Henry’s 'fortress of the fleets' finally sneaked ahead. Some argue that this is a measure of just how long it took us sceptical Brits to adjust to the Sierra’s ahead-of-the-curve, jelly-mould looks. By which time we were ready for some svelte.
A difference in strategy and priorities with Miller prompted Henry Ford II in 1968 to abruptly name a new president, William "Bunkie" Knudsen, who had just been passed over for the president's post at General Motors. Miller became vice chairman of Ford -- a new post created for him -- and dean at Stanford. He left Ford's management ranks a year later but stayed on the company's board until 1986.
Even if you don’t want the extra cost of winter tyres, checking the tread depth of your existing tyres is important. The legal limit is 1.6mm, but having more than this can dramatically improve steering and braking - if your tyres are due replacing, then winter is a good time to do it. Also check your tyre pressures regularly, as these can change with the drop in air temperature with the changing of the seasons.
What to do when your car oversteers
While with its design the QX50 may stick to tried and tested brand methods, big changes should be coming under the bonnet. The QX50 Concept revealed at Detroit was used to preview the brand’s new variable-compression turbo petrol engine –a downsized petrol 2.0-litre power unit that will replace the ageing 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine currently used across the brand’s line-up.

Workhorse hasn’t yet said much about the HorseFly drone that comes with the N-Gen, but it’s a model that the company engineered in-house. It will deploy from the vehicle and will be software linked, so that it might be able to take a small package to a nearby cul-de-sac, for instance, while a larger one is being delivered. This isn’t the only company vying for the last-mile delivery business and its electric future. One particularly well-funded effort is Chanje, a startup that has managed to recruit former executives from Volkswagen, Tesla, and one earlier fleet-focused company, Smith Electric Vehicles. And a Hybrid Helicopter for Two Workhorse also has a larger, manned aircraft under development. The unique eight-blade SureFly Octocopter, which the company revealed at the Paris Air Show this summer, can hold the pilot plus one other occupant. It’s also an electrified product, but with power sources prioritized the opposite way compared to its trucks; there, a gasoline engine provides power to the electrically driven prop system, and twin battery packs serve as a five-minute power backup, allowing the pilot enough time to land if they run out of fuel or the engine fails.
“Inside, I think the infotainment screen stands out – it looks fantastic and is feature packed. But aside from that, there also seems to be good amounts of space for this type of car – particularly legroom and boot space. I like the low loading lip for getting items in the back, too.”
If you can’t start your car, but have access to a 12-volt power supply in another car, then you can use a set of jump leads. If you're skilled enough and it's accessible, you could remove the battery and charge it indoors. This can be complex, not least because car batteries are heavy. You should always refer to the owner’s manual.
