Thor is the largest RV builder in America, producing one in four of the new RVs you see on the road. Thor was formed in 2010 by the merger of Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International. Thor produces all kinds of gas- and diesel-powered Class A and Class C RVs. A Class A is basically one of those huge rectangles you see powering down the highway, often with a mural of lions and lionesses on the back. Class C is what looks more like a Class A in back but like a cabover camper in front. Class Cs ride on pickup truck frames and are powered by pickup truck powertrains. There are other classes of motor homes out there: those van conversions, all those things built on the Mercedes Sprinter. And then there are trailers, from monster fifth-wheel hauling homes to tiny teardrop-shaped sleepers.
The heart of the Accord line is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four backed by a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This is the powertrain that will be found in most of the Accords sold at retail, the ones dealers push out the door every day wearing $199 monthly leases or 72 months of $300-per-month financing. A million or more Accords equipped like this will make their way onto American roads over the next several years before Honda even thinks about revising this powertrain. If you don’t wind up driving a car like this yourself, it’s likely someone in your immediate family will. Maybe even someone with whom you’re on speaking terms.
What’s more, while 1451 GT made it to the race, its driver and owner at the time (a Mr Bob Grossman), recalled that the exterior had but a ‘flash’ of paint covering the primer, and that there were ‘rags’ covering the unfinished seats. Quite different, in other words, from the car which has since been professionally restored not once, but twice, and also granted Ferrari Classiche certification.

The upcoming SUV will be based on the same underpinnings as the Skoda Kodiaq – a car that scooped our Large SUV of the Year award back in January. Both five and seven-seat versions will be offered and, like the Ateca, will be geared towards agility rather than off-road prowess.
The two M Sport models both sit on 19in alloy wheels and include unique bumpers and paintwork, as well as heated front seats. The M Sport and M Sport X are inspired by circuit racing and rallying respectively. Both trims receive stiffer M Sport suspension and have a lowered ride height.
