After its debut in the 2016 Civic, where it’s an upgrade over the base 158-hp, naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder, the 1.5-liter spread to the ludicrously popular CR-V crossover as an upgrade over the standard 184-hp, naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four. In the Civic it’s rated at 174 horsepower—except in the supertasty Si, where it spins out 205 ponies. In the CR-V, it lights off at 190 horsepower.
But McLaren sounds none too keen on him doing the whole WEC schedule. McLaren racing director Eric Boullier told the BBC: "He has said he is keen to do some races outside. There is a case-by-case discussion. His main and first focus is F1, so that has to be the priority. We do everything we can to give him a competitive car and if he has this he will not race anything else.
Applying more lock won't help because the front tyres have lost grip and you won't gain any more by doing so. Instead, the first thing you must do is slow down, then take some steering lock off to help the tyres regain grip. If you've slowed enough, then adding lock again to get around the corner should see you back on course - if it doesn't help, then you need to slow even further. However, if the road is slippery, then just backing off the throttle might be the only thing you can do, because stepping hard on the brakes will only make matters worse.
A difference in strategy and priorities with Miller prompted Henry Ford II in 1968 to abruptly name a new president, William "Bunkie" Knudsen, who had just been passed over for the president's post at General Motors. Miller became vice chairman of Ford -- a new post created for him -- and dean at Stanford. He left Ford's management ranks a year later but stayed on the company's board until 1986.
This powertrain is available for as little as $24,460, and Honda asks $34,690 for the top-spec 1.5T Touring, still a solid value for such a fully realized and useful machine. But yeah, save up a few bucks and get the 2.0T if you can. And we’d get the manual transmission, too.

The Harvard group's leader, Col. Charles "Tex" Thornton, told Henry Ford II the young men could improve cost efficiency at Ford just as they had in the Air Force. The meeting gave Miller an early preview of the some of lax cost controls at the company.
The track-focused Camaro is attractively priced, with the V-6 1LE in its base 1LS trim starting at less than 33 grand—some $5000 cheaper than the least expensive V-8 Camaro SS. (Get one with a few niceties, as on our 2LT test car, however, and the cost advantage over the SS becomes narrower.) As it does when ordered on V-8 and ZL1 models, the 1LE option brings a bundle of both cosmetic and mechanical modifications. Here that means a version of the SS’s suspension with retuned dampers, rear subframe mounts, and anti-roll bars. There also are staggered-width 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels carrying 245/40ZR-20 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires at the front and 275/35ZR-20s at the rear; a limited-slip differential; Brembo four-pot front brake calipers; enhanced cooling for the engine, transmission, and differential; and a dual-mode exhaust system. Visual changes for the V-6 model include satin-black vinyl wraps for the hood and side mirrors, a splitter beneath the front bumper, and a lip spoiler on the trunklid.
"The weakest function in American business is human relations," Gilmour said in a 1999 interview with Automotive News. "The good companies make personnel a strategy. That was an Ed Lundy/Arjay Miller legacy. They were thinking about that long before most companies were."
Miller began his Ford career in 1945 in the Ford finance department’s analysis unit. His first task: Compile a profit forecast for the next month.
“The driving position appeals to me,” she told us. “A lot of women like to be higher up with a better view of the road, and I don’t need to be too close to the wheel to get that. It’s the feeling of security and being up off the ground that I like.”
