When something you love changes, it’s natural to be a little nervous: Would we miss that trusty V-6? What if Honda nixed our cherished manual transmission? But we had no cause for fear. The new Accord is once again the best mid-size family sedan on the market. The model lineup is lighter this year, the coupe variant having gone to that Great Showroom in the Sky, and there are three shiny new engines, a trio of satisfying transmissions (yes, the manual is still among them), and a bold exterior design to usher in a new era of greatness for this most established sedan. There’s also a thoroughly updated infotainment system—an elegant and intuitive answer to our plaintive cries—as well as a comprehensive list of standard safety gear. The Accord’s hallmarks remain graceful handling, a spacious interior, and reasonable pricing, and after all these years, it’s still earning our love and admiration.
Workhorse hasn’t yet said much about the HorseFly drone that comes with the N-Gen, but it’s a model that the company engineered in-house. It will deploy from the vehicle and will be software linked, so that it might be able to take a small package to a nearby cul-de-sac, for instance, while a larger one is being delivered. This isn’t the only company vying for the last-mile delivery business and its electric future. One particularly well-funded effort is Chanje, a startup that has managed to recruit former executives from Volkswagen, Tesla, and one earlier fleet-focused company, Smith Electric Vehicles. And a Hybrid Helicopter for Two Workhorse also has a larger, manned aircraft under development. The unique eight-blade SureFly Octocopter, which the company revealed at the Paris Air Show this summer, can hold the pilot plus one other occupant. It’s also an electrified product, but with power sources prioritized the opposite way compared to its trucks; there, a gasoline engine provides power to the electrically driven prop system, and twin battery packs serve as a five-minute power backup, allowing the pilot enough time to land if they run out of fuel or the engine fails.
The first thing you notice about motor homes, apart from their ginormous exterior size, is that they all seem to have aftermarket audio systems controlled by near-microscopic buttons. It takes a long time to figure them out and even longer to get yer fat fingers to hit the right buttons. Another thing I noticed right away was that when I turned on the turn signal, the CD player went mute. Weird.

But if you do decide to go new, you will not be disappointed with a Thor Vegas, baby.
