“WRC” might not be the longest-running racing game series, but it may have the most entries. The lineup started in 2001 with “WRC,” which was followed by “WRC 2,” “WRC 3” and “WRC4” in 2004 before jumping to “WRC: Rally Evolved” in 2005. The series reverted back to “World Rally Championship” and then moved to “WRC: FIA World Rally Championship” in 2010. After the reboot we’ve seen 2, 3, “Powerslide,” 4, 5, 6 and finally “WRC 7,” which went on sale Sept. 15. It was the first to get a Porsche 911 rally car -- a downloadable extra.

Miller began his Ford career in 1945 in the Ford finance department’s analysis unit. His first task: Compile a profit forecast for the next month.

The team -- initially dubbed the “quiz kids” because they cajoled Ford colleagues with so many questions early on -- included Robert McNamara, who also became Ford president before serving as secretary of defense under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.
Miller was named assistant treasurer in 1947, assistant controller in 1953 and corporate controller later that year.
But McLaren sounds none too keen on him doing the whole WEC schedule. McLaren racing director Eric Boullier told the BBC: "He has said he is keen to do some races outside. There is a case-by-case discussion. His main and first focus is F1, so that has to be the priority. We do everything we can to give him a competitive car and if he has this he will not race anything else.
"If you get in trouble with your line boss, you get transferred," he often told the company's controllers. "But if you get in trouble with me, you get fired! Their job was to blow the whistle if they thought something was wrong."
